**The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture is offering $66,000 worth of scholarships in 2026 in support of students studying for careers in ag-related fields.

The scholarships are for students: entering or enrolled in ag-related programs at colleges in the University System of Georgia, Berry or Emmanuel College; the Technical College System of Georgia; and the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine.

The application deadline is March 1st.

**The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association announced its continued support for the Direct Interstate Retail Exemption for Certain Transactions (or DIRECT) Act.

The legislation would increase marketing opportunities for smaller meat processors and give consumers more options to buy local beef.

NCBA President, Buck Wehrbein says the DIRECT Act would allow state-inspected meat processors to sell their beef across state lines, in limited quantities and through e-commerce, directly to consumers.

**The Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report" shows October sales for all tractors in the U.S. were down 20% from the same month last year.

Total October tractor sales reached 17,758, compared to 21,457 last year.
