I’m Bob Larson. SmartVisionWorks is taking artificial intelligence technology to new levels for food sorting.

SmartVisionWorks Vice President of Product Development and Innovation, Curtis Koelling says their AI goes beyond looking at just color and sees the details …

KOELLING … “We can look at context. We can look at texture and a lot of other clues that, you know, our minds just generally key into automatically, that are hard for us to explain, right, and to say this is exactly what I’m looking for. But the AI models that we train it, we can key into those different aspects, visual aspects of the potato so it can figure it out.”

Beyond that, Koelling says SmartVisionWorks is really finding its way …

KOELLING … “We get to work with some pretty awesome technology every day and it’s something I can say that I’m proud of and that, you know, we’re actually doing good things for the industry in saving these small places that can’t find labor.”

The customers, Koelling says know we have their back …

KOELLING … “I think what people like most about our company and what we do is the fact that we still answer the phone, right. We care about what happens to our customers even after we’ve made the sale. And, you can talk to any of them and they’ll speak to that.”
