With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. The Washington Wine Commission is really excited about the launch of its new website and app to help wine lovers explore everything Washington wine-related.

The Commission’s Bretty Rawson says just download the app and begin your wine adventure …

RAWSON … “It’s a fun way to get people to be able to explore Washington state and get to know new places that they haven’t been or return to places that they have been and see which wineries have now cropped up in that area.”

And, Rawson says they’ve included a little bit of an incentive …

RAWSON … “It’s super fun. We’re doing a fun little promo too. You know, anybody who downloads the app this month, they get entered in to a contest to, you know, basically, win a dream wine trip through Washington Wine Country. So, it’s really just as simple as downloading the app and then you’re entered into this contest.”

So, Rawson wonders what you’re waiting for …

RAWSON … “You know, the hope is, of course, people will be able to plan their own trips and really start to kind of create these fun, cool itineraries. So, hopefully, this little promo and also just the fact that we have just launched the app gets people the tools they need to make those memorable trips happen.”

Rawson says there’s something for everyone …

RAWSON … “ www.washingtonwine.org … So, you travel over there and you’ll get to see a bunch of new columns and series. You know, we have a new series called ‘Farmer Fridays’ where we introduce and showcase a different farmer every week.”

Rawson says it’s super easy to find any winery or wine event with a simple click of the app.
