I’m Bob Larson. The coronavirus has forced the shutdown of many businesses and events over the past several months, BUT the Ag World Golf Classic that raises funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane is still on for August 13th.

Ag World Support Systems President Bryan Henninger says the original plan this year was to have two tournaments, until the coronavirus came along …

HENNINGER … “When COVID hit, we moved the tournaments to August to try and give us a fighting chance of being able to have the tournaments. And, unfortunately, the tournament in Kennewick has been canceled because they’re not doing any tournaments the month of August down in the Tri-Cities. But, the one in Moses Lake has been able to continue on, and we hope it still continues on.”

And, Henninger says they want to be COVID-wise …

HENNINGER … “Part of that is instead of doing the scramble format where everybody starts at the same time, we’re basically taking over the golf course and having Tee Times for everybody. So, everybody’s going to start on hole one and just play through and you arrive when it’s your turn to start.”

Henninger says there will be a few other changes too …

HENNINGER … “But we’ll be able to greet people when they come and then there can be sponsors that are on the different Tees giving out water bottles or prepackaged, you know, granola or something.”
