Colorado Livestock Association Annual Meeting

Colorado Livestock Association Annual Meeting

Next month the Colorado Livestock Association will hold it’s Annual meeting and Colorado Finest Celebration in Loveland at the Embassy Suites on the evening of April 13 and then a full day on the 14th.
On Wednesday the 13th there will be a Trade Show Vendor Reception followed by Colorado’s Finest a food and wine pairing social showcasing the bounty of Colorado’s ag industry.
Thursday’s morning will begin with a CLA Membership Meeting. Following the meeting will be a panel discussing the topic of Colorado in 2025— what the political and demographic future of Colorado may look and how it may affect livestock producers. CLA CEO Bill Hammerich encourages members to attend this worthwhile event.
Hammerich: “With this lineup that we’ve got — we are going to provide people the opportunity to get a glimpse of what may be coming at them. As you can see from the variety of topics that we have here -- whether what is the state going to look like politically in the next 10 years? What is it going to look like from growth? How are we going to continue to address the urban-rural interface that we all face. Antibiotics seems like an issue that won’t go away — we’ve got the Veterinary Feed Directives coming the end of this year.
The afternoon panel will be discussing the VFD as well as animal welfare. You must register ahead of time. Go to coloradolivestock.org to learn more and register or call 970-378-0500.
