Getting the word out to consumers about your farm stand produce or agriculture products can be challenging in the best of circumstances. The pandemic has created a new level of difficulty in getting products to markets and the public.

The Department of Agriculture is offering a series of online marketing webinars this spring to help ag and food business owners discover new state-of-the-art ways to connect with consumers through the latest public relations, marketing, branding, and social media strategies.

Trotta: “ ..free marketing webinars ..so we thought this was a perfect fit for smaller to medium-size businesses to take advantage of all these topics such as leveraging public relations, social media, branding and marketing, and other aspects of how to connect with customers in this COVID day and age which we do a lot online. We’d really like folks to sign up. They’re free and will be recorded so if you’ve missed one live, you can find it on our page.”

Danielle Trotta is a Marketing Specialist with the Department of Agriculture. She says each of the webinars will include time for live question and answer sessions.

The online webinars cover a range of issues for business owners including how to plan a social media content calendar, branding, planning, strategy, and PR tactics for 2021, using Instagram small business, and determining the best marketing channels to maximize investments.

The webinars are all free and will run through mid-June. Details and registration can be found on the CDA website. www.ag.colorado.gov.
