Online information for water right applicants

Washington Ag Today September 29, 2011 The Washington Department of Ecology is offering the state’s first comprehensive guide to water availability with online publications that tell potential applicants for water rights where and how they may obtain new water in any of the state’s watersheds.

The 2011 Legislature directed Ecology to review its water rights application procedures to simplify the process, eliminate unnecessary steps and decrease the time required to issue decisions. Ecology says these online fact sheets are part of that effort.

Now this from Stockland.

This is Jack McQuinness here at Stockland Livestock in Davenport. A busy week for us here. 200 horses were on the market Saturday with all classes selling. The market was steady. Smaller horses tough to sell with most at $25 to $50 a head. Monday cattle sale, 600 head on the market. Cows and bulls two to three lower. Feeder cattle steady to strong. An active market. On Tuesday a thousand head of sheep and goats. Light lambs up to $2.10 a pound. Monday a regular cattle sale and then a special on October 10th our Rancher Appreciation Sale.

Thanks Jack.

I’m Bob Hoff and that’s Washington Ag Today on Northwest Aginfo Net.
