Aigen Autonomous Weeder

From the Western Ag Network, I’m Bob Larson. A Washington company has a solar powered, autonomous weeder that uses no chemicals, no fuel, and no person to drive it.

AnnaMarie White, with Redmond-based Aigen (EYE-gen), says their machine gets 99% of the weeds with less than 1% crop damage, but it’s so much more than a weed whacker …

WHITE … “We have an incredible number of sensors on our machines that record plant data and crop health at every pass. We count crops. We track crop health. We also track weed pressure, and we record the weeds that we remove every time we go down a row. And because the sensors are right next to the plants, we are able to give growers very, very precise analytics about their fields.”

So, what crops will this work for? …

WHITE … “Right now, we do row crops and we can do basically any row crop because of how sophisticated our AI system is. And based on our current price point, we run between $50,000 and $70,000 per robot.”

So, if I need one, where can we find these Aigen weeders? …

WHITE … “Lot’s of people need one of these. They can go to aigen.io … a-i-g-e-n dot i-o.”

White says their machines cover up to 5-10 acres per day …

WHITE … “We’re super excited to be working with growers. We’ve had a lot of awesome feedback. And we can also customize these for different fields. So, if you have a unique problem, let us know what it is and we will work with you to solve it.”

Again, that is www.aigen.io
