American Rancher October 16, 2006 (Auctioneer sound) Competition for the Livestock Marketing Association's 2007 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship gets underway today. LMA is qualifying contestants through four regional events and one of those is today at the Central Livestock Auction in Madras, Oregon. Three regional world champions will be named at each contest and the top eight scorers in each contest will qualify for the 2007 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship to be held June 16th in Springfield, Missouri.
Among those in the west competing are Lonnie Rudd of Wilder Idaho sponsored by Treasure Valley Livestock Auction of Caldwell, and Jack Sanford of Port Orchard, Washington sponsored by Chehalis Livestock Market. (Auctioneer sound)
