This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for March 22nd. Grains were in the green with wheat being the leader. Oliver Sloup explains more from the floor of the CME in Chicago. Sloup "I see some green across the board with corn, soy, and wheat all trading a little bit higher. Remember it is a shortened week with good Friday." Chicago May wheat ended the day up 3 1/2, at 466. May corn ended the day up ¼, at 369 1/4. Portland prices for soft white wheat of 10 ½ % protein for March were up 3 ½-, ranging from 5-36 ½ to 5-38. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for March were up 5 1/4 ranging from 5-44 ¾ to 5-54 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were up 3 ½, ranging from 6-02 1/2 to 6-12. April Live Cattle closed yesterday dn 1.47 1/2 cents, at 138.17. March Feeder cattle were dn 85 ½ cents, at 162.25. March class III milk was steady, at 13-82.
