CCA Announces It Will Be Joining the National Western Center
Fankhauser: “Number one we are very impressed by the vision and the foresight of the partners around the National Western Center — which are broad and varied — from the Museum of History and Science to the Historical Society of course the National Western Stockshow and then ultimately the City of Denver. As it relates to their vision for their facility and the vision that we have for the association and actually a relocation that we have been discussing for a couple of years now. It made sense to either of us — both the cumulative parities of the National Western and our leadership that we should try to bring these two entities together for the future headquarters for the association but also to allow for the members and leadership of the Cattlemen’s Association to participate in this local to international vision for the National Western Center. So we are very excited.”
The NWC master plan calls for a variety of broad-based collaborations that will activate the campus all year. Collaborations in areas such as food and food production, agriculture and livestock were recommended in the plan.
