Export Washington launched

Washington Ag Today December 8, 2011 The Washington State Department of Commerce has launched the Export Washington Program, moving another step forward toward the goal of increasing the number of Washington businesses actively exporting by 30 percent and growing export sales by 100-billion dollars by 2015.

One component of the program is the International, Rural and Agricultural Accelerator programs. Agriculturally focused businesses will have direct access to trade representatives from key target markets including China, Japan, Mexico and Taiwan. There is also training on food and beverage specific requirements for those markets.

The Export Washington Program also works with bankers to get them involved in export financing.
