Memorable Wine Moments

Memorable Wine Moments

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. This week begins the final month of Vine to Wine. I am of course disappointed and I will miss all of you. When I mentioned this, a close friend to ask; "What is your most memorable moment in the wine business?" So I thought I would share my answer with you on today's program. My most memorable moment since I have been involved with wine? That is so unfair – we are talking about over twenty-five years! There have been too many wonderful memories and so much more to come. I think when I was in Germany tasting Riesling and I realized how little I knew and went on to discover I was in love with Riesling was a big aha moment for sure. I realized then that with an open mind - the rewards are many. I have also been the recipient of many wonderful moments when teaching a class and watching the light go on for a student. I don't know if much can beat that. I also remember trying to find my way with a chef to a perfect flavor pairing as we tweaked a recipe to match it to a wine – learning and practicing until wine became a passion is what I have loved. And most of all - the people – I have met some extraordinary people. I have yet to meet a person in the wine and food industry I didn't like (a few have been snobs – but hey that's not my fault). Most of all I am looking forward to the many memorable wine moments that lie ahead because even though Vine to Wine is going wherever tired radio programs go I will still sip on. And thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
