Long Time Favorite Wine

Long Time Favorite Wine

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. As many of you know my new favorite wine is usually the wine that is in my glass at the time. Today I want to discuss a long time favorite wine and the winery that makes it.

Hedges Family Estate’s has been operating in the state of Washington for about 25 years and that is a long time in Washington wine history standards. As they say they took a chance buying property in a little place called Red Mountain. The Hedges were instrumental in making Red Mountain an American Viticulture Area. It is now among the most prestigious AVA’s in the state of Washington. But that’s not what I want to tell you about. I want to tell you that Hedges wines are among the most consistently good wines I drink and bring out for my friends to drink. The wines are priced very well and at my house we often serve Hedges CMS as our “house” red and white wines. I would recommend them highly. They are both blends. The white is a combination of Chardonnay, Marsanne and Sauvignon Blanc. The red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The wines are very approachable and definite crowd pleasers. Since the season is upon us I would definitely recommend them to brides who are looking for wines to serve at large weddings. So there you have it Hedges Family Estate wines one of my long time favorite wines. Visit our website and give us your suggestions for program topics, your wine questions and comments email Linda at vine to wine dot net and thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
