11/27/07 Late fee waived for WSU Economic Issues and Outlook Conference

Washington Ag November 27, 2007 If you have not yet registered for Washington State University's Economic Issues and Outlook Conference coming up December 6 & 7 in Pasco at the Red Lion Inn, you can still do so without paying a late fee. Tom Marsh, associate professor in WSU's School of Economics, says the late fee has been waived so registration is still 125 dollars. Marsh says agriculture and energy sector issues will be addressed and there will be several other excellent speakers. Marsh: "Particularly Mechel Paggi. He is the Director for Center of Agricultural Business, California State University, Fresno. And he is going to focus on the upcoming farm bill with implications for specialty crops. We have John Gardner who WSU's new vice president of economic development and he is going to give his vision for WSU's role in economic development through out the state." And several others including Des O'Rourke, agricultural marketing expert with an outlook on the pear, apple and cherry markets. There will also be outlooks for other commodities including grain and cattle. For more info or to register call 509-335-2927 or check www.ses.wsu.edu I'm Bob Hoff.
