Several familiar names from the Southeast are part of the newest class selected for the National Cotton Council’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Among those chosen for the 2026-27 class are producer Austin Warbington of Vienna, Georgia, merchant Diego Lozada of Cordova, Tennessee, and producer Charles Williams of Crawfordsville, Arkansas.

The National Cotton Council says the program is designed to help rising leaders better understand the structure, policy work, and global market efforts tied to the U.S. cotton industry.

Participants will gain exposure to issues impacting cotton’s economic future, including export market development, policy implementation, and the political process.

The program also includes communications and professional development training focused on media engagement, presentation skills, and business etiquette.

The first session kicks off in June 2026 in Memphis and St. Louis, followed by participation in the NCC Annual Meeting and a final policy-focused session in Washington, D.C.
