California Farm Bureau is getting national recognition for how it tells agriculture’s story.

The American Farm Bureau Federation recently recognized its 2026 Communications Award winners during the organization’s Communications Conference in New Orleans. Nearly 200 entries for work produced in 2025 were submitted nationwide, and California was among five states receiving the most awards overall.

California earned honors across several categories, including Best Newspaper for Ag Alert and Best Magazine for California Bountiful. The state also received awards for Best Single Blog Item, Editorial or Column, Best Social Media Video, Best Social Media Campaign and Best Social Media Presence.

A California team also received the Anne Marie Moss Team Effort Award for communications focused on agricultural workforce and immigration issues.

The competition included 18 categories spanning writing, print, media relations, social media, graphic design, video, audio and websites. Entries were evaluated by independent, experienced professionals, with most categories divided according to state Farm Bureau membership size.

American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall says the awards recognize communicators working to share the challenges and successes of farmers and ranchers nationwide.
