Thayer says that’s the focus of a great new exhibit celebrating local flavor and farming pride …
THAYER … “Our exhibit that’s opening is called, ‘Our Food, Our Farms, Our Washington.’ And we’re celebrating our 125th year anniversary as an organization that started and is rooted and continues to be connected to agriculture.”
Given that, Thayer says the exhibit is a great way to reflect …
THAYER … “And we felt that this was the year to really showcase Washington agriculture and what it means, not only in our historical story, but what it means today, and what it’s going to mean tomorrow.”
Thayer says it’s what the fair is about … and more …
THAYER … “People can come and see competitions of livestock, they can see competitions of home-grown produce, but this is taking it hopefully to a larger scale that gives them a deeper understanding.”
