Micropep, an agtech company developing a new array of sustainable, nature-based crop protection products using peptides, announced a new CEO transition to accelerate the company from R&D into commercialization, bringing in Indigo AG global biologicals executive Georg Goeres to take over from the original founder/CEO.
Gores... " I think it is clear that when you look into agriculture in general, that we need to continue to look for new opportunities, new tools for the farmers. There's no question. I think the access to performance, you know, crop protection solutions for the farmers is diminishing over time, and we need to make that, we replenish that pipeline with new, innovative, sustainable products, which can be used in the long run and when you look into the environment, so the farmers have a lot of resistance issues today. We have, we need, scalable residual-free pro products with a good, tox profile and, you know, environmental tox as human tox, and that's exactly where micro peps are acting. So when you look at the peptides, which are short amino acid sequences, you basically, you have that opportunity to have, good complementary technology, which can be added for the farmers in the toolbox."
Once again, that was Georg Goeres, CEO of Micropep.
