Peptides

New science could give farmers a more biological option for crop protection. CEO of Micropep, Georg Goeres says peptides, short chains of amino acids, are natural proteins that can regulate plant genes. The hope is that it can give farmers consistent and reliable results.
Goeres... "I think what's relevant for the farmer is actually very straightforward. You wanna see that you get repeatable results, that you have, ideally either a yield increase or a disease pressure reduction, etc, which often goes along, that they are affordable, that they fit into the price, you know, into the ability to put them in and that you actually with them can what we see specifically on the bio(something) that we're developing right now can be used as a, as a resistance breaker, you know for disease resistance. And when we look into the herbicide space and we look into the insecticide space, I think we can see similar patterns. So we can actually help to overcome some of the problems farmers face today. And that's what should be attractive for the farmers because they just get additional choice, with what we see is relatively high repeat results, and being good partners to tools which are in the industry use today."
