The Ben and Dana Wood family from Sand Point, Idaho talk about their Bar X ranch, a cattle and hay operation and Wood's Hay and Grain feed store and milling business. See what special blessings the Ag life has brought this beautiful family.

Dana manages all the financial and the office stuff. I manage most of the employees and the day to day operations, and then we're also blessed by actually having the ranch so that the kids can get out on the ranch. If it's fixing fence or checking cows or moving horses, they feel free. Speaker3: Being raised with good work ethics. Summertime. During hay season, they know that when the hay's got to be raked, they've got to be out there. Speaker2: There are a couple of ways you can balance family life and farm and work. Life is just drag your family to work and then you've covered both bases. Speaker3: Definitely leave feed store stuff at feed store. When we're home, we are home with the kids and more focused on family than business. Speaker2: Trying to balance the life. Being sporadic on a Sunday and it's sunny out. Jump in the jeep, go up a mountain road, or go out on the ranch. Even if you're just mushroom picking, there's a lot of different stuff, hunting and stuff that we all kind of like to do, and the kids are raised that way too. So that's also stuff they enjoy. As it has grown. We've come to realize that us building our feed business is actually helping these people that want to grow their own food. We don't measure our success off what we're doing, but what we're actually providing to our customers and how successful they are. Speaker1: Like Dana said, balance.
