BASF-Endura Pro Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. If you’re a potato grower here in the Pacific Northwest, BASF has a new fungicide product you might be interested in.Curtis Rainbolt, Technical Service Rep at BASF, says if the name, Endura Pro, sounds familiar to you, there’s a reason for that …
RAINBOLT … “We’re really excited about Endura Pro. So, growers may be familiar with Endura, which has been around for a while from BASF, but “Pro” is a new product we have, and we specifically built it for use in the potato market.”
Rainbolt says there’s a lot of diseases to deal with, but early blight and white mold are the most common …
RAINBOLT … “It builds on what we had with Endura which is good early blight control, good white mold control. But we’ve added a new active ingredient. And that active ingredient is Frac Group 3, which is a group we are really not using a lot in potatoes, so it gives us some really good resistance management.”
And that, Rainbolt says should help …
RAINBOLT … “But the biggest thing about it is it’s just been one of the strongest performing early blight, brown spot products I’ve ever looked at in field research and trials. And when we had it out last year on a limited basis in grower fields it performed extremely well. And so, we’re really confident in the performance of it and it’s just looked great out in the field.”
