From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. As the new year gets rolling along, many in agriculture have questions about what things will look like under a new administration.But Potatoes USA Chief Marketing Officer, Kim Brashears says things are looking good and she’s excited about 2025 …
BRASHEARS … “The marketing programs that we’ve been working on for quite a few years now, you know, working on potato performance, positioning potatoes as a performance fuel to consumers continues to just generate more positive changes in consumer perception about the nutritional aspects of potatoes.”
Brashears says they’re already working on their annual studies … on changes in consumer attitudes …
BRASHEARS … “Last year’s study showed significant increases in 19 different attributes related to nutrition and health around potatoes, all of which increased from 2018 when we started the work and the campaign.”
And, Brashears says they look forward to seeing last year’s results …
BRASHEARS … “Because we just continued to really promote that message with consumers so that they understand that potatoes are a vegetable, potatoes offer a lot of nutritional benefits to their diet, and that they help fuel on a daily basis as consumers. It’s important to have as part of the diet.”
