Cowboy Corner Today I would like to tell you about a radio program that is one of my favorites. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be right back to tell you about it. In our part of the country a radio program is aired early Sunday morning that I try not to miss. It's Red Steagall's Cowboy Corner. Now most ranch folks know about this program so this is for anybody who has never heard about Red Steagall or Cowboy Corner. Mr. Steagall grew up in the Texas panhandle and knows all about cowboying on family ranches and the big ranches where the riders still stay out "with the wagon" to work cattle on different areas of the ranch. Red Steagall is a cowboy who can work along side cowboys, but for the last 30 years he also sings songs, writes poems about them and presents discussions that portrays the essence of Western and cowboy values. The Cowboy Corner program always includes an interview with interesting guests that include actors, singers, historians, horse professionals, ranch owners, and older cowboys. Mr. Steagall has an easy-going interview style that really gets his guests to open up to the passion of their lives. These interviews are true reality Western life not a staged performance called reality. The program also includes real western songs and poetry about horses, cattle, outlaws, heroes and everyday cowboys. If you have an interest in true Western traditions and values, I would recommend tuning in with me and listen to Cowboy Corner. Just go to cowboycorner.com to learn more. I'm Jeff Keane.
