UF Leads Nation in Ag Research and Farmer Sentiment Jumps in November

Research and Development survey shows UF’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, invested more than $261.9 million in ag sciences and natural resources conservation research in fiscal year 2023.

**Post-election farmer sentiment jumped in November as the Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer climbed 30 points to 145, the highest since 2021.
Both Current Conditions and Future Expectations increased.
Future Expectations increased 37 points to 161, while Current Conditions rose 18 points to 113.
Some of the reasons behind the improvement include expectations for a future of more favorable regulatory and tax environment for the ag sector.
