Ethanol exports have reached a record high of one point 10 billion gallons so far this year through July, running 38% ahead of last year's pace, according to the latest trade monitor report from the Renewable Fuels Association. RFA, President and CEO Jeff Cooper says the ethanol industry is having a very good year in the international market.

“You know, along with growth and exports for ethanol, we're also seeing very strong export demand for distillers grains and other co-products that come from ethanol facilities. That's really going to be the focus of the export exchange event. It's really focused around feed grain exports and also co-products from the processing industry. About one out of every three tons of distiller's grains we're producing is exported, hugely important to the industry, and we need to continue growing demand internationally for distiller's grains. The export exchange has always been, I think this is our eighth or 10th export exchange. It's always been a great opportunity to really grow awareness and visibility on the value of those co-products, and, you know, get new customers, and actually, you know, business deals get done at this event. So we're looking forward to another successful export exchange coming up in October.”

Canada is the top importer of US ethanol, and Mexico is the top importer of US DDGs. The export exchange event will be on October, 7 and 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.
