I am baffled by the barrage of headlines constantly telling me what I should and shouldn't be eating and drinking. Does anyone else think it is beyond comprehension that someone in a white lab coat actually makes their living discerning the minute nutritional differences between a blueberry and a cranberry? Everyone knows broccoli is nutritious and that tomatoes are packed with antioxidants so why must food scientists try to trump one another to find the next best food? And why are we, the public, so fickle to believe that the key to a long life could be as simple as consuming a raspberry? Now that we have been told raspberries have more than 10 times the antioxidants than tomatoes or broccoli.) and what ever happened to grapes? A glass of red wine was supposed to keep the doctor away (of course I had two for good measure) now some fuddy dud physician is reporting that any amount of wine could shorten my lifespan. I say, what's so hot about living to a ripe old age if the only thing ripe in your life is a sour berry. Give me my red meat, red wine and an earlier exit ticket
