It is one thing to dog a corporation that operates from a platform of e greed and another all together to attack companies who practice good stewardship.
When executives at the Ford Motor Corporation, maker of the infamous mustang, learned 52 wild mustangs were headed for slaughter after being purchased under false pretenses, they bought the horses and sent them to sanctuaries. This provided the motivation for Ford's " Save the Mustang" campaign with the goal of providing a sustainable future for unadoptable wild horses by offering cash incentives to wild horse sanctuary's. Opposition to this humane attempt to remove excess wild horses from the range comes from an unlikely adversary , the National Horse Protection Council, who idealistically holds to the belief that every wild horse must run free. Through an e-mail campaign they are calling for Ford to halt the Save the Mustang program despite the reality of overpopulated herds and lack of habitat. Ford can't win , they go out on a limb to do something admirable for wild horses and still get hammered from animal rights groups. I for one want it to be known that I am proud to drive a Ford Pick-up!
