I have heard it all! Apparently all you poor people suffering from asthma are now to blame for depleting the ozone layer. It seems that the teeny tiny aerosol inhalers that you breath in, not out are putting the rest of us at risk. As outrageous as this may seem an FDA panel has recommended a ban on non prescription asthma inhalers. Basically that means that those of you who rely on products like Primatine Mist better plan on finding another means to treat your asthma, and we are talking a lot of people. Really, if the three million of you that supposedly use Primatine Mist all inhaled at the same time across the US I would still have a hard time believing that the ozone layer would be be impacted. It just doesn't make any sense to me that here in the US we are going to take away a person's little non prescription inhaler while other countries like India and China continue spew horrendous industrial waste into the atmosphere. But what do I know ? I'm Susan Allen and this is today's Food Forethought. Source: ENN.com January 25, 2006 FDA Panel Recommends Federal Ban on Nonprescription Asthma Inhalers that Harm Ozone
