From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with your Agribusiness Update.**Wenatchee’s Starr Ranch Growers is getting some star power for Juici and Koru apples, which will be served backstage at a production starring Lady Gaga.
According to thepacker.com, the apples are being shipped to Las Vegas, where they’ll be available to performers at Enigma, at the Park MGM.
Producers, wanting to serve healthful food backstage, requested the apples. The show runs through May.

**According to President Trump, the U.S. and China are arranging the formal signing of the first phase of a broader trade deal between the world’s two biggest economies.
U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer says he expects the 86-page agreement to be signed by him and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He in early January and go into effect 30 days after the signing.
milkbusiness.com reports the deal hinges on China increasing purchases of American farm goods and making new commitments on intellectual property, forced technology transfer and currency.

**President Trump’s job performance approval has climbed to an all-time high in a Farm Journal Pulse Poll.
Of the 1,225 farmers and ranchers who responded, 82% either strongly approve or somewhat approve of the way Trump is handling his job, up from 78% in November.
Only 17% disapproved of the president’s job performance.
The poll was conducted December 13th through 16th, just days before the House impeachment vote.
