**Progress has been made on trade and possibly ethanol, but so far, not on the Farm Bill. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says Congress will not likely take any action on a new Farm Bill now until after the November election.

According to agriculture.com, disagreement between the House and Senate is blamed for failure to come to terms.

Even though the bill officially lapsed at the end of September, 2018 crops are covered.

**A new program called Dairy Revenue Protection will soon be available to protect dairy producers from low milk prices.

American Farm Bureau Chief Economist John Newton says the protection plan is geared for all dairy farmers.

Newton is a 15-year veteran known for his award-winning work in farm risk management.

He's been working on the Dairy Revenue Protection plan for more than two years and is happy to see its launch on October 9th.

**Good vibes appear to be coming from the Ag community following announcement of successful trade negotiations with Mexico and Canada.

The American Dairy Coalition says the USMCA will give our workers, farmers, ranchers and businesses a high-standard trade agreement that will result in freer markets, fairer trade and robust economic growth in our region.

The American Farm Bureau Federation commends the administration for all the efforts to solidify the trading relationships we have with our North American neighbors.
