Stockmanship & Stewardship PNW Pt 1
I'm Bob Larson. A major event for cattle producers is scheduled in the Tri-Cities next month. Oregon State University Extension Service's Sergio Arispe says Stockmanship and Stewardship is a unique two-day event at the TRAC Center in Pasco October 12th $ 13th ...ARISPE ... "It's a program for producers put together by producers in order to ensure that we're using the latest available science and implementing that within our cattle production practices."
Arispe says the educational experience features industry updates of all kinds ...
ARISPE ... "We'll be sharing that at the workshop and we're just going to have a nice contribution by the Beef Quality Assurance coordinators for the Pacific Northwest as well as other scientists and experts in the field of low-stress handling and stockmanship and stewardship."
He says and much, much more ...
ARISPE ... "So, it's not only going to hit cattle management, but it's also going to hit on land management. A lot of folks around our region have irrigated and/or non-irrigated pastures that they run cattle on. So, this is just a real comprehensive event that we're publicizing and we're hoping we can get a great attendance for the Pacific Northwest."
Besides network opportunities and hands-on demonstrationos, Arispe says attendees will also have the opportunity to become Beef Quality Assurance certified.
Listen tomorrow for more on Stockmanship & Stewardship in Pasco next month.
