Colorado Livestock Assn NE Symposium To Be Held on November 15th
On November 15th the Colorado Livestock Association will be hosting the second annual producer educational symposium in Sterling, at the Northeastern Jr. College's Hay's Student Center. The day will begin with check in and registration at 8 a.m. Colorado Livestock Association Chief Executive Officer Bill Hammerich shares some of the day's topics and speakers.Hammerich: "The first presentation of the morning will be Randy Blach with CattleFax and his got some great insights on current market conditions. Dr. Larry Hollis will give us a presentation on how we can reduce our dependance on antibiotics in food animals. Chris Whitney with the Colorado State Stock Inspection has some good news relative to the use of the electronic brand certificates. Jeff Cullers who is an attorney is going to talk about drones and how that may or may not affect privacy issues relative to ag. Then we are going to have Dr. Jared Walahoski and he's going to talk about advances in bovine diagnostics and how the use of those can give us a better idea of what ails an animal rather than mass treatments. Then we will wrap the the afternoon with a presentation from Ivan Steinke about rural first aid."
