Capital Press recently wrote an article extolling the tremendous virtues of a ranching cowgirl named Kim Brackett. Kim is a blogger and an activist on all things beef so I called this inspirational cowgirl to get her reactions to the story. "I saw a wonderful write up about you suggesting that you are the cowgirl of the year if not in the world. Oh yeah? Yeah. Thought I would call you up and have you comment about your blog and your life as a cattle rancher and cattle advocate. Well I am certainly a cattle rancher and I am married to a very successful cattleman but I think you are talking about my niece. Let me see. Kim Brackett. It says Idaho rancher Kim Brackett has been chosen by Vance publishing as one of the most innovative people in agriculture. That is very sweet but both of my nephews married gals named Kim. I don't know. Kim that is married to Ira moved to California and Gus's wife is still out here in Three Creek so I don't know for sure which one you are talking about but I don't think it's me. I'm a little puzzled. They moved to California but they are claiming they live in Idaho still. I don't know.
