New Tool For Grower-Shippers to Add Value For Retailers

The United States Potato Board has a new marketing tool available that provides valuable, timely information that grower-shippers can provide to their customers to ultimately help in selling more potatoes.

USPB Retail Program Consultant Don Ladhoff explains more.

Ladhoff: “Our newest tool is called ECRM MarketGate. It is a service available to grower-shippers to track promotional activity at over 200 U.S. retailers and it is provided to the industry at no cost.”

ECRM MarketGate captures all promotional activity from circular ads, online promotions and even email promotions. All of this valuable information is available to grower shippers to share with their retailers and even allows grower-shippers to track their own brands.

Ladhoff says grower-shippers who are currently using the program have been really positive about the new tool.

Ladhoff: “We’ve had a very good response to it and in fact one of the early suppliers to use it, called it one of the best investments that the USPB has made in supporting grower-shippers selling in the retail sector in many years. They saw a lot of value in it.”
