Are you dreaming about your own farm,  join the masses make it a reality, virtually! It’s  Friday it’s Open Range Wrap Up, I’m Susan Allen back with that and other stories. Seventy two million monthly users world wide build  virtual dream farms complete with crops and animals on facebooks  FarmVille the farming fantasy game. The vice president of Zynga, the developer of the game, told the Seattle Times that “everyone likes farming whether you grew up on a farm or your grandparents did, there is an appeal that is just cute”.  Farmville can’t help but create good vibes for real farmers.  Hum.. Yes I admit gained weight as a freshman at OregonState, (the frosh ten) no exercise, all that rainy weather but today even the horses at OSU work out.The VetSchool just obtained the first  high-speed equine treadmill in the state. It’ll help diagnose lameness and upper airway disease and  horses love to run on it. Apparently they  start prancing and head right for the treadmill when you bring them out of the barn.  The only thing I pranced for at Oregon State were boys and peanut butter bars in the dining hall.  Important information for ranchers ,  Alltech’s  western regional  manager Nick Adams believes livestock producers could face an enormous threat of mycotoxins this year and has posted critical information at knowmycotoxin.com. KnowMycotoxins.com a hotline at 1.866.322.3486 or visit aginfo.net and we'll link you to their site.  I’m susan Allen proud to remind you that "the West isn't merely a place but a place in mind."
