Fidelitas Singles

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. As many of you know my new favorite wine is usually the wine in my glass at the time. These days I have been enjoying some of the single vineyard designated wines from Fidelitas, one of my favorite Washington wineries.

Awhile back I became a member of the Fidelitas wine club. I was supposed to split the orders with my sister. After the second one I stopped sharing. Charlie Hoppes is part owner and the winemaker at Fidelitas. I think highly of his talents. So when he singles out a vineyard and makes a wine exclusively out of grapes from that vineyard – not blending any others with it – I pay attention. I figure it must be special. Charlie has three vineyards that are on my radar and the wines he produces from them are excellent. One comes from Boushey vineyards it is a small vineyard lovingly cared for by Dick Boushey. The next is Champoux vineyards which are famous because they were the grapes used in a wine that the wine spectator gave a perfect 100 points. The third is a vineyard in the famous Red Mountain AVA called Ciel du Cheval. All of the wines are red and have great aging potential. All of the wines are absolutely delicious! Seek them out at the winery or through the Fidelitas winery website.  Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thank you for joining me on today’s vine to wine.
