Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. You know the vacation season is upon us so for the next week we are going to explore summer reading with wine in mind.
Since our days as children and our summer reading lists were sent home, I find that summer, summer vacation and reading are somehow intertwined. Today I want to begin a series featuring recommendations for your summer reading list with wine and food in mind. A few days ago I punched Wine books into my internet search engine and started perusing websites in search of creating my own summer reading list upon which I of course plan to include some reading about wine. What I found was a bit overwhelming in that I realized I didn't have any specific areas or topics in mind. So narrowing it down was my first goal. So I went Amazon dot com and read some of the reviews. A book which I had nearly forgotten about is the Everything Wine Book by Danny May and Andy Sharpe is a wonderful book for a novice. It is clearly written and easy to follow. You can pick it up and peruse it without having to read it cover to cover. If you are looking for another easy to read and very well written book for starting out don't overlook the Wine for Dummies series. They are excellent. Join me tomorrow as we further discuss summer reading with wine and food in mind and thanks for joining me on today's Vine to Wine.
