12/27/07 Greenies take on Corn Farmers

Seems like they are always out to get ya when the goings good. I simply love to say this.. Folks, agriculture is just plain booming!! This is true in many sectors but especially so for corn and wheat and the positive state of the industry is great for our economy. So it's no surprise that certain anti-any thing but "teeny tiny sustainable" farm activists will be working overtime to undermine conventional agriculture's success. Expect to see more articles in newspapers like the one last week stating in bold, "Midwest Corn Boom threatens Gulf Waters." Never mentioned was the shot in the arm this means for the region, the trickle down effect high corn prices have on virtually all sectors of Midwest society. The environmentalist quoted for the piece did warn that "peoples livelihood depends on the shrimp, fish and crab in these waters" hum?..... but no one's "livelihood' is imipacted by corn, corn fed beef or even that incredible ethanol you greenies have pushing so hard for? Watch out all you Sappy Sustainables, the big scary successful farmer could be appearing in a community near you!
