What's a blur of red and white, whether traveling at forty plus miles per hour or just standing still, I'm Jeff Keane and I'll return with the answer. His racehorse conformation and strawberry roan coat gave appearance that Go Man Go was moving fast even when he was out grazing. Here's Becky with how this quarter horse wonder raced his way into the history books.
Go Man Go was a handful right from the beginning and needed no encouragement to do what he was bred for. This bear of a horse was born in 1953 out of the Appendix Quarter mare Lightfoot Sis and by the great thoroughbred runner Top Deck. In 1955, As a two year old, after loosing his rider and breezing the track solo in his maiden race, the feisty roan was gathered up to win the first of his three consecutive World Champion Quarter Running titles, making him the first two year old to win the title. But Go Man Go didn't stop there, running through his sixth year, with countless awards and credentials he started his breeding career at age four. His exceptional get proved equally as fiery and valuable on the track with five hundred fifty five of his nine hundred forty two foals reaching register of Merit standards and among them 83 were stakes winners, I'd have to say that's a pretty fair average.
You know Becky I'll agree with you on that one. And, while I'm not a betting man I think I might put my money on a Go Man Go offspring if I was given the chance. I'm Jeff Keane
