Cheers for a yellow horse, I'm Jeff Keane and I'll be back with more about an acclaimed palomino stallion. Colorado born, this classy yellow horse was foaled in 1930 with a dandy disposition, blessed with a powerful loin and hindquarter all characteristics which would later define his offspring, here is Becky to shine a little light on this legend.
A pedigree riddled with a history of great running thoroughbreds, this grand sire was bound to be praised with enthusiasm, just as his name implies. Passed from owner to owner in his younger years, this yellow horse was adored by everyone who came in contact with him. Spending his prime, earning his keep on the New Mexico, Philmont Ranch, he was used for breeding, managing cattle, and in the occasional polo match. On lazy days, this sharp 15 hand horse confirmed his running lineage by taking his competition right off the line. He was, fast smart and attractive and embedded his best qualities into his offspring. It was remarked that he often out-bred himself as in his 28 years he sired many exceptional working horses and inspiring runners such as sons Question Mark and Skipper Lad, he also managed to imbed his fortune on to a number of daughters, which in turn cast his admiral traits into their young.
There you have it, for the yellow horse who went by the name of "Plaudit", the luster of his shining disposition, solid confirmation and speed continue to live on in his young, I'm Jeff Keane.
