Wine Growers Meeting. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.
It's that time of year again for the Annual Wine Grape Growers Meeting and Executive Director Vicky Sharlau says it's quite an event.
SCHARLAU: This is the annual meeting and convention and trade show of the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers and it really has become not only the educational highlight of our year but also it's the social highlight of the year just because we match some of the best Washington wines with some of the best chef's in the state and we celebrate both.
According to Sharlau some important research information will be presented at meeting.
SCHARLAU: The theme this year is "Washington, the State of Wine" and we talk about the state of wine from the prospective that we've got some incredibly exciting research projects that will be unveiled and shared, we've got educational programs. There's shall we say stimulating educational perspectives on growing vines, making wines, problems with both growing and making and we've even got a session that talks about the quest for hundred point wine.
This years meeting is slated for February 7th, 8th & 9th at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington. For more information visit their website at www.wawgg.org.
