Washington Ag January 2, 2007 The Pasco Ag Show gets underway a week from today, January 9th and runs through the 10th. The event is held at the Trade, Recreation and Ag Center, or TRAC just off Interstate 182. Pasco Ag Show hours are nine a.m. to five p.m. on the 9th and nine a.m. to four p.m. on the 10th.
Main speakers on January 9th are Dr. J. Greig, Interim CEO of Chemcom, speaking on Sustainable Biofuels in the Columbia Basin and Washington Ag Director Valoria Loveland on the 2007 Farm Bill. On January 10th main speakers are Mike Gempler of the Washington Growers League speaking about immigration policy and Cheryl Cox owner of Top of the Mountain Farm/Ranch Recreation Business talking about "Others will Pay for What you Have." The Spokane Ag Expo and Pacific Northwest Farm Forum, which is normally held in January, has been permanently moved to February starting this year. Show manager Myrna O'Leary says everything will be under one roof at the new Spokane Convention Center.
