California cotton producers will have a familiar name to follow over the next two years. The National Cotton Council has announced the newest class of its Emerging Leaders Program, and among the selected participants is producer Broc Cardoza of Tipton, California.

Now in its eleventh year, the program is designed to give participants a deeper understanding of how the U.S. cotton industry works from policy and trade to communications and market development.

The National Cotton Council says the program helps future industry leaders better understand how the organization works to keep all seven segments of the cotton industry competitive and profitable both here at home and overseas.

Participants will also receive professional development training focused on media engagement, business etiquette, presentation skills, and social media strategy.

The first session begins in June of 2026 in Memphis and St. Louis, with additional sessions planned around the NCC Annual Meeting and later in Washington, D.C.
