Streamlining the process for ag producers to apply for various USDA programs. I'm excited to announce officially the USDA's One Farmer, One File Initiative, which creates a single, streamlined record that follows you, the farmer, no matter where you go in the USDA system. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins with the announcement at Commodity Classic in San Antonio. A current example of the initiative is found with the use of Login.gov as an access portal to online application for the Farmer Bridge Assistance Program. She adds, the initiative also focuses on modernizing USDA technology systems in local USDA service centers. Over the next two years, USDA will extend this modernization across the entire department. Including a rollout later this spring of an advanced USDA acreage reporting platform.
