The Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge, now in its 12th year, highlights innovative ideas from Farm Bureau members across the country. This year, Louisiana took the spotlight as FarmMind, a technology startup led by an LSU alumnus and two current students, claimed top honors at the 2026 American Farm Bureau Convention. Announced by the American Farm Bureau Federation in partnership with Farm Credit, the win earned FarmMind $100,000 to help grow the business.

Led by Louisiana Farm Bureau member Colin Raby, the team uses artificial intelligence to bring essential agricultural workflows into one platform, including field notes, GIS management, regulatory compliance, financial tracking and real time agronomic insights.

KiposTech was named runner up and received $25,000. Led by Pennsylvania Farm Bureau member Hema Ravindran, the company is advancing poultry farming with plasma based air disinfection and AI powered monitoring that protects birds from airborne diseases, dust and ammonia.

“Innovation isn’t just an option, it’s the path forward for agriculture in today’s fast-changing world,” said AFBF President Zippy Duvall.
