Big changes are coming to how California manages water rights! The State Water Resources Control Board is rolling out a brand-new online platform called CalWATRS, short for California Water Rights System. It replaces the old eWRIMS platform and will handle everything related to water rights administration and reporting.

If you’re a water right holder or reporter, you’ll need to create a new CalWATRS account and move over your existing water rights records. It’s a fresh start and a more efficient way to keep track of your water use.

Want a little help getting started? You’re invited to a hands-on workshop on November 5th, from 12:00 to 4:30 p.m., at the Adin Community Center in Adin, California. And if you can’t make it in person, there will be a live webinar on November 6th introducing you to the new system, and yes, it will be recorded.
