Lt. Governor Bedke to Join Idaho Wheat Industry for $1.2 Billion Idaho-Taiwan Wheat Export Agreement Signing.

Idaho and Taiwan will sign a $1.2 billion agreement supporting Idaho wheat exports over the next three years.

Idaho State Department of Agriculture Director Chanel Tewalt, Taiwan Flour Mills Association Chairman Wei-Chang Chang, Director General Mei-Chen Lin of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle, and Idaho Wheat Commission Chairman Cory Kress will join Lt. Governor Bedke for the ceremony and press conference.

The agreement highlights the strength of Idaho’s relationship with Taiwan, one of Idaho’s most important trade partners and the sixth-largest market for U.S. wheat. TFMA imports wheat for all 20 Taiwanese flour mills, continuing a partnership that spans more than 40 years.
