Florida’s Next Top Chef? Entries Open for Florida Future Chef 2025!
If you’ve got a young chef at home who loves to get creative in the kitchen, this one’s for them!The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is officially accepting entries for Florida Future Chef 2025—a statewide student cooking competition that shines a light on Florida agriculture, culinary skills, and healthy school meals.
Now in its fifth year, the contest is open to Florida students ages 7 to 13. All they need to do is submit a two-to-five-minute video of themselves whipping up an elevated school meal that includes at least one Florida-grown commodity. And yes—there are prizes! Finalists can earn up to $5,000 in college funds thanks to this year’s Presenting Partner, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation.
The top three finalists will head to Tampa for a three-day event packed with cooking, learning, and the chance to become the next Florida Future Chef Champion.
