Empowering Women in Ag: Leadership Blooms in St. Augustine
Ninety-six women from across Florida recently came together in St. Augustine for the 2025 Women’s Leadership Conference, hosted by the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. The annual event brought together women passionate about agriculture for two days of connection, inspiration, and learning. One of the highlights was keynote speaker Natalie Kovarik, co-host of the popular Discover Ag podcast, who shared her personal journey and insights on modern ag advocacy.
Designed to empower and uplift, the conference gave participants a chance to grow their leadership skills, strengthen their voices, and learn from each other’s experiences. They also had the opportunity to explore diverse farming operations, including a visit to Diamond D Ranch.
“Our Farm Bureau women had a great time learning together and from each other,” said Mitzi Lucas, programs coordinator for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. “In today’s world, it is crucial women in agriculture are given tools to grow and become better leaders, both on and off the farm.”
To recognize outstanding engagement, women’s committees from across the state were honored with the Activity Award, celebrating their dedication and teamwork.
